Hotel in Naples

We want to spend 2 nights in Naples next Oct. The Constantinapoli, which was recommended on this board, is fully booked. Any other suggestions?

Hi brit,

I was happy with the Hotel Pinto Storey in the Chiaia District, a very nice neighborhood. It's a 3 star in a great location. Double paned windows for quiet and A/C. They have their own web site and are listed on venere.com.

I paid 80E night for a single + 11E for A/C mid-Sept 05. Breakfast included with blood orange juice!

Brit-I would go with Dayle's suggestion with the Pinto Storey, have heard good things about this hotel, and the Chiaia district IS really where you want to be in Naples-it's really the best district for tourists, (along with the Posillipo district), if not the best, place to stay in that city-in other words, far more enjoyment value will be had by staying here than in other areas, and it is close to all the tourist destinations you'll want to see, plus, -it also faces the bay, which is what you want.

I stayed in the inner city, and didn't enjoy it at all, except for the incredible seafood restaurant on Via Foria, just down from the Archeaological Museum-which I HIGHLY recommend-"Do Figlia ai Marinaro" -all outside, under a big white tent on the sidewalk, across from the Botanical Gardens-a slice of Neapolitan life (when I was there, I was the ONLY tourist) that is not to be missed, the best kettle of mussels, in their special sauce, that I have had anywhere in Europe, and their house-made panna cotta and tiramisu, were quite out of the ordinary, among many other exceptional seafood dishes and desserts.
