hotel in munich need advice
we're staying for 5 days in munich. which district is preferable? need a hotel for about 120 euro per night (a descent one with air cond)
|
Stay in/near oldtown or Lehel area. I don't know of hotels under 120 euro but others will tell you. Mercure has a hotel near the train station around your price range.
|
Kingshotel.com is very popular among Fodor posters here. The other one I mentioned is Mercure Muenchen City.

Mayflowers, Just a word of advice:
If you are going anytime in the Summer please don't let anyone tell you that A/C is "not needed" in Munich including those folks who live there...why? because Munich can be VERY humid in the Summer (whether the inhabitants want to admit it or not and whether or not they enjoy sucking it up or not). If it weren't needed then why did so many of those "horrid" chain hotels install it? (LOL) I'd give you a recommendation for a place to stay but probably all of our favorites are out of your price range. Enjoy your trip |
Hi M,
Thw www.hotel-uhland.de/enwelcome.html is 90E for a "Comfort" dbl w bkfst. It is within walking distance of the Bahnhof. We have stayed there before, and will be staying there for our upcoming visit. ((I)) |
