hotel in Marais

Rates will depend on what month you are in Paris.
We have stayed at the Hotel de Nice http://www.hoteldenice.com/en/
which was fairly basic but in a good location and also the Hotel Sevigne which seems to have morphed into the Hotel Emile http://www.hotelemile.com/
We loved the location of this place but best to check for reviews as it's changed hands.
Both of these are in the Marais but costs depends on when you are visiting.

I've stayed in the Grand Hotel Malher a couple of times - it's basic but fine. www.grandhotelmslher.com
Astonished at the transformation of Hotel Sevigne! I remember it in its old incarnation - it's gone very posh!

We always stay at the //hoteljeannedarc.com and will be back there at the end of April for a week. You won't believe how smack dab in the middle of everything it is and 1 block or so from the Mt Paul.
