Hotel in Florence Easter week recommendations?
 

Fodorites, please help out here. We've decided last minute to visit my niece in Florence Italy during Easter week. She attends Gonzaga U. in Florence, Piazza Antinori 3, Centro and we'd like to be close. Does anyone know of a good, inexpensive hotel nearby? Good, clean, safe, atmospheric - is this impossible? Thanks so much

Over thr holidays my family stayed at Soggiorno Battistero located at Piazza San Giovanni 1. They have a website for more information (www.soggiornobattistero.it). Very reasonable, clean and friendly people with a super location.
By the way at Gonzaga U does your niece know a sophomore named Peter Murray? He's headed to Florence next Sept.

You might want to consider the B&B Peterson. It is about 1 1/2 km from Pzza Antinori in a safe, residential neighborhood. About 60E/nite dbl.

We stayed there for 11 nights and were very pleased.
