Anyone know of great bargains in small hotelwith charm? -
I can advise a great one near Lucca for 100 E/nite - Locanda al Colle in Camaiore - incredible style in old house in olive groves run by former Benetton exec.
I'm looking for similar south/east of Firenze

We stayed in Panzano at 'Fagliori', a rural, very charming b&b about 40 minutes to Florence. Check out italyby.com

We stayed in a lovely place in Panzano called Villa Le Barone. We loved it.
