Hotel in Copenhagen

Hi,

Going to Copenhagen from Oslo as a last minute idea since we're finding it difficult
to find avail. hotels in Stockholm due to royal wedding during mid-June.

I am assuming that there is a ferry from Norway or Sweden to Dendmark?
Can anyone recommend a centrally located hotel in Denmark - good for 2 adults
and a teen? Also, I'd love any suggestions for restos, museums, etc... Thanks
so much!

You can train from Stockholm to Copenhagen. For hotel, I stayed at the Alexandra Hotel, was pretty nice. Very close to the train station and Tivoli.

Hotel 27 is great;

Your teen will like it too, it has a young atmosphere. Rooms are small, clean, simply decorated. There's a fun bar, and an Ice Bar next door. Free wifi throughout. And in a central location.

I second the motion re Hotel 27. My daughter and I stayed there last July before our Baltic Sea and Russia cruise. Very hip and modern hotel with free wifi. nice rooms though smallish but we were lucky to have been upgraded to a large suite bec the hotel overbooked. Centrally located so walking distance to City hall where you can get into the hop on, hop off tour buses as well as the Tivoli, lovely to visit at night. Right next door to the hotel is the Ice Bar, another thoroughly fun experience that shd. not be missed! The hotel is also walking distance to the shopping area.

Oops,HSV. So sorry, I forgot to mention that we are planning on staying in Copenhagen. Any hotel and resto recommendations for Copenhagen would be greatly appreciated!!!

I might as well have figured by the headline...

For a central hotel I always like The Square, right on Radhuspladsen, opposite the beginning of Stroeget and around the corner from Tivoli.
Modern 3* with a clean design, beds slightly too soft, but that's about its only fault. Feels more like 4*, but doesn't have a restaurant other than a rooftop breakfast room (which doesn't matter as there are loads of options for eating out in the vicinity and the hotel is happy to help with recommendations).

If you rather care for a 4.5* place, look into the Skt Petri. Also clean and modern design in a department store conversion behind Vor Frue Church.

For a decent restaurant with good with an extremely pleasant and laid-back atmosphere, I like Zeleste, just off Nyhavn on Store Strandstraede. Classic food, not Michelin-star quality, but I'd argue above average, reasonably priced, wonderful courtyard and quaint interiors.
