i will say that even the corner view i had from the marriot executive apts. towards the elisabeth bridge, was a lovely constant reminder that i was really there.. in budapest.
it was more absorbing, i guess, to see the lights late at night getting ready for bed. (and YOU would have a view of the CHAIN bridge from THAT marriot.. absolutey amazing).
also, to have a late night drink in your room would be very special with the city and buda hill as backdrop...
(the bar at the marriot was not anything special.) We enjoyed going to SPOON CAFÉ moored on the river bank not far from the Marriot. Nice music and beautiful view.

Kathleen:
1. Note please that the Marriott is not the same place as the Marriott Executive Apartments, to which another poster refers. In fact they are about 5 blocks apart.
2. The Apartments are very nice IF you get an apartment on the top or penultimate floors -- wonderful views of the Danube and the Castle. On lower floors you generally get a view of a courtyard.
3. If I had the chance to stay at the 4 Seasons Gresham Palace, I would not care whether I had a view because the entire building is SO fabulous.
4. At the Marriott at Easter (Easter is in April this year, I assume), there is a lovely lady who sells handpainted easter eggs in the lobby. No, not dyed eggs -- complete scenes and traditional motifs.
