Hotel in Brussels

I am staying at the Holiday Inn city Center in Brussels mid-July. Looking for information regarding the location and quality of this hotel. Thanks!
The best hotel if it' available is The Meridian which is right across the street from the train station and perfectly located to good sites. If I return, I'll definitely stay there again...clean and the best location if you're only there for a night or two and want to see as much as possible.Al

I agree with Al, but the name of the hotel is LeMeridian. Try to stay there if possible.

Le Meridien is a good hotel, but that doesn't answer the question about the Holiday Inn City Center. I believe you're talking about the Holiday Inn on Chaussee de Charleroi? It's near the Place Stephanie, a couple of minutes off the Avenue Louise, the premier shopping street in Brussels (along with the Blvd. de Waterloo). It's not near the biggest sights--i.e., the Grand'Place, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The Ixelles (Chatelain) is neigbhorhood about a 15 minute walk away is packed with interesting restaurants, some good shopping, and it's one of Brussels more popular residential areas. Parks, great outdoor food market Wednesday afternoons, etc.
You can reach the Sablons area easily from your hotel by catching the #92 tram that goes right by. It's about a 5 minute ride to the Sablons, and from there you can walk down to the Grand'Place.
It wouldn't be my first recommendation for a first trip to Brussels, but there's nothing wrong with it. Lots of tour groups stay there, FYI.
BTilke (Brussels)

A certain level of quality should be assured due to its brand name.

Go to

http://www.basshotels.com/holiday-inn/

And do a search for Brussles, and have a look at the map.

It's not the most central.

__________________________________ ______
My Brussles Photos

http://www.bangor.ac.uk/~fos007/bruss.htm
