Hotel in Assisi

Looking for recommendation for hotel in Assisi - good location, romantic, does not have to be value priced.

Fontebella and Umbra are both nice; both well located.

Best wishes,

Rex

We stayed at HOtel Umbra and loved it. Lovely patio restaurant, great location, great price!

You can do a search above on Hotel Umbra and probably pull up more insights.

Good morning, Mackie17
We have used the HOTEL WINDSOR SAVOIA, twice, it a three star hotel with 34 rooms , it is very old, but CLEAN, it is located about a block from the SAN FRANCESCO, overlooking the valley below. Its ristorante at the time, family run was pretty good...

Don't know if its still there, but 9 years ago, I stayed at the Hotel Garibaldi. There were four of us in a very large room with a large balcony with superb views of the valley below. I recall it was located on the main street about 15 minute walk to the Basilica of St Francis. The price was moderate, included a continental breakfast, large bathroom(by Italian standards). I'd like to go back for more sunset picnics on that balcony.
