Hotel in Amsterdam
 

We will be in Amsterdam for 3 days in August. Can you suggest a few hotels with the best location possible, great charm and cost is not an issue (special occasion).

Any recommendation for great restaurants to try would also be appreciated.

The Grand, Amstel or Banks Mansion.

Thank you all. We are club members with Intercontinental and Amstel seems to be an I/C hotel and it seems really nice. Thanks for your help.

De Port van Cleve is just off of The Dam Square (behind the New Church). It's a decent hotel, but a very convenient location. Also, downstairs they have a bar and restaurant that is supposed to be well known for its steaks.

Have you looked into the Hotel de L'Europe? Although usually very expensive, they are offering a 3 nights for 2 deal at the moment.
