hotel help near Borghese Gardens
Hi,
Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel near the Borghese Gardens that would accommodate a family of four? I'm not sure what that area is called... We will be traveling from Tuscany area to Sorrento and wanted to spend the night on the way in Rome and see the Borghese Gardens. We WILL come back to Rome for a longer stay after Sorrento and have booked Arco Del Lauro B & B for that (THANK YOU to all who mentioned it in their posts). We are hoping to spend no more than $200 (USD). Thanks for any ideas. Michelle |
aside from the behemoth fve stars along Via Veneto, there is a choice. We love the Hotel Modigliani...a boutique place about a fifteen minutes walk (or short taxi ride)from Borghese Villa and Gardens. It is on via Purificacion about a block west of Via Veneto, and should be under $2oo. My daughter just stayed there and they were very happy with it.
See web pages: http://www.hotelmodigliani.com/ Stu T. |
For a family of 4, I'm pretty sure that a room at the Modigliani is going to be more than $200 USD (148 Euros). In fact, their web site lists 220 Euros as the lowest price for a quad.
Take a look at venere.com and look in the Via Veneto area. |
We stayed at the Grand Hotel Beverly Hills, address: LARGO BENEDETTO MARCELLO 220,(VIA SALARIA). It is an easy 5 minute walk from Villa Borghese. Here is the website:
http://www.beverlyhotelrome.it/ I'm not sure of their rates, but they are bound to be less than anything you will find on Via Veneto. We felt quite safe in the area, even wandering around after getting lost walking back to the hotel at night. :) |
It's true you could also stay in the Parioli district and be easy walking distance to the Borghese Gardens.

Thanks everyone - I will check out those sites!
We'll pay if we have to, but since we will not even be in Rome a day I hate to pay a ton! Michelle |
