hotel help in florence and venice
 

Hi, my problem is we are taking a package from go-today.com and I'm having trouble deciding between these hotels. Pkg.C- Delle Nazioni in Florence with San Cassiano Ca Favretto in Venice or Pkg.D- Paris hotel in Florence with Residenza Cannaregio in Venice or Pkg.E- Atlantic Palace in Florence with Liassidi Palace in Venice. We will be adding 3 extra nights to this pkg. in Florence to do some day trips so we would like a nice hotel. Trip advisor loves the Delle Nazioni- they rank it #33 even though its a 2 star. The Paris Hotel lift is still being repaired according to people who have just returned, and Residenza Cannaregio is up in the NW corner of my Venice map.I'd really appreciate some input to help me decide. First time for both of us in Venice and Florence. We were in Rome last year and stayed at the Hotel Nazionale-[4 star] and loved it.Thanks ahead Kerry

Message: Hi, Sandi. My husband and I liked the San Cassiano Ca' Favretto. It is located on the Grand Canal almost across from the Ca D'Oro and is within your price range. We had a "junior suite" on the top floor that would be appropriate for your family. We had wonderful views from two huge windows and the hotel is within walking distance of everything. Hi, thank-you Mclaurie and Ira for the topping.San Cassiano Ca Favretto has had good reports back and is central. My problem is that they've paired it with a 2 star hotel adjacent to the train station, which believe it or not gets very favorable reviews from trip advisor.com-#33.I am adding 3 more nights in Florence to do some day trips and was just looking for a bit more comfort.This trip would be in the beginning of November and I'm flying out of JFK. If anyone can show me how to do it cheaper than go-today, well, let the games begin!

Then have a look on venere.com for hotel availability and prices. When I checked the other poster's dates of 11/6-13 there were some very good prices (like 100-120e/night) at 3 and even 4 star hotels.

I've been thinking about your challenge to &quot;find it cheaper&quot; all day and realize my response should have been it doesn't have to be cheaper, it should be better (ie why have to &quot;settle&quot; for a 2* hotel to get the package). As Rex said on the other thread for a Venice Rome gotoday package, you can do it yourself for better <i>value</i> with probably just a bit more $$.
