Hotel help in Barcelona
My husband and I will be in Barcelona at the beginning and end of our Mediterranean cruise for 1 night each. We would ideally like to stay in 2 different hotels (1 night on 10/27, 1 night on 11/4). Here is a list that I have gathered based on reviews I’ve read and price. Here is our wishlist:
-close to public transportation -safe area -has areas to walk around nearby (ie, Las Ramblas) -clean room with modern amenities -$100-175 range per night Here is our list so far: Hotel Montecarlo Hotel Jazz Hotel H10 Universitat B-Hotel Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya Hotel Barcelona Princess NH Duc de la Victoria Vincci Maritimo Barcelona Aparthotel Silver Hesperia Del Mar Hotel Urquinaona Apsis Aranea Hotel Barcelona Universal Hotel Icaria Hotel Barcelona Out of these, please let me know if any are standouts to you (for either positive or negative reasons!) Please also feel free to add any that you would recommend. Thank you in advance, we’ve never been in another country and don’t want to screw up! |
Were the other Apsis hotels such as the Atrium Palace too pricey? It definitely fits within the other guidelines and the buffet breakfast (1/2 price if you book the rooms on line) is one of the most complete we've ever had in this sort of hotel, to include bubbly! I would look at the various reviews on TripAdvisor, also. The H10 is also in an excellent location IMO.

Yeah, that one was around $250/night everywhere I looked. Normally we like to spend a bit more on hotels but with the cruise cost, we're trying to make up for it in other areas.

Hotel Montecarlo is right on the Ramblas, so if that is where you want to walk around, then it is a great place for you. Inside it is clean and very calm.
Hotel Jazz is right on University Plaza and though I have |
We liked the Hotel Lleo--it meets all your criteria. www.hotel-lleo.es
