Hotel Forte in Rome
Hey there!! I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the Hotel Forte and if so what their experience was. Rome is the last of my reservations to make. I already booked Hotel Locanda San Barnaba in Venice and La Fenice in Positano (yes, I got a room below the road, thanks to your suggestions!) <BR> <BR>Please Help!!!! <BR> <BR>Thanks again!!

When are you going? I am staying at the Forte mid Feb and plan to post impressions upon return. I am also aware that Paige is staying there and she is returning after 2/4 and plans to post as well. So, keep checking in for upcoming reports.

Hi, all. I stayed at Hotel Forte (on via Margutta?) a couple of years ago. Great location IMHO! The hotel proprietor was very nice, although she spoke little english. My room wasn't much at all, though. I've since been told that they've remodeled & and are up to par.

Ben-- from what I gather, the hotel is located in a pedestrian street, close to the Spanish Steps surrounded by antique shops and restaurants. They also offered airport transfers, and I am taking them on the offer (approx. $40/three people) <BR> <BR>Check some pictures: <BR>http://www.romeguide.it/FILES/FAMILY/Forte/forte.html <BR> <BR>http://www.italmarket.it/rm/hotelforte/index.html <BR> <BR>http://www.venere.it/roma/forte/

Ben, I forgot to mention that I have compiled a list of good restaurants in the area to which I will add the findings I do on my own. I can e-mail it to you now, if you wish. Also, the hotel has special rates all year-round (very reasonably priced).

Maira- <BR> <BR>Wow! I would really appreciate that!! I think I am going to go ahead and book it. Thanks again!
