Hotel for anniversary in Paris

Any suggestions for a nice hotel in Paris for our first anniversary? One that is centrally located and in the 200-300 Euro range is ideal. Someone has recommended the Hotel Brittanique but we are looking for something that is maybe one step up from there. Thanks.

I have two suggestions, both have websites:
1) Le Sainte-Beuve- small, near metro- very nice.
2) Pas des Calais- stayed there twice- right off blvd. St. Germaine- we like it.
Also- check <www.hotels-exclusive.com/paris.htm>
A great city that you will love.

i'd like to suggest you 2 very good hotels near the C-E and 1 near the Opera Garnier.:

1.Hotel Raphael-a member of the leading small hotels of the world- a trully luxury establishment located 8min from the C-E and 1 block from the AdT, good restaurant ,famous bar, with very big rooms and an atmosphere of a bygone era. but it is a bit pricey(370euros for a classic room)
www.raphael-hotel.com and www.lhw.com/raphael
2.Le Faubourg Sofitel Demeure Hotels
a modern, chic, upscale hotel, with good restaurant, between the Madeleine Church and Place Concorde-classic rooms at 240euros but on the small size- www.sofitel.com
3.Hotel Scribe Opposite the grand Hotel IC it's a well run 4L establishment with 2 restaurants, 1 bar , spacious rooms with new bathrooms, classic rooms at 200euros i think. www.sofitel.com
For further infos do not hesitate to ask me!

Thank you, someone else has recommended the Faubourg as well. I am currently reserved in a suite at the Hotel Therese. Does anyone have thoughts on a suite at the Therese v. a deluxe room at the Faubourg?

There is a beautiful new 4 star hotel with restaurant called "Le Walt" that we visited last year. It is in the heart of the 7th, surrounded by great restaurants and cafés. The staff is well trained as you would expect because the owner's husband is a former director of the Hotel Crillon, and when we were there you could get a nicely decorated room with ultra modern bath in the price range you requested.

We stayed at the Hotel du Louvre, it is really beautiful and very French. It has an excellent location on the Rue du Rivoli right across from the Lourve!

I heartily second the recommendation for Hotel Raphael. The rack rate is above your suggested budget, but this hotel always has an open auction at Luxury Link (www.luxurylink.com; 2 packages available currently) - usually for 6 nights in a junior suite + breakfast and one dinner for around $2300-$2500 (which is about 300E per night). My husband and I booked our travel through the Luxury Link auction, and stayed at the Raphael in late November. Because of the "low season" we were upgraded to a suite with a "rack rate" of 1150E per night, and we had a wonderful time at the hotel.

Good luck and happy anniversary!

Have you looked at the Hotel Beau Manoir...a beautiful 4 star hotel near Madeleine in the 8th...It is really a wonderful hotel, a lot of services and staff that is always doing his best to help you...I really loved to stay in this hotel...

I also like the Raphael if you want something very classic and upscale.

I would personally take the Faubourg Sofitel over the Therese.

The Faubuorg is a 4 star establishment located in an upscale quarter half block from place concorde metro station and 1 block from Madeleine church, restaurants and metro station. The rooms are not very big but are very stylish, new and elegant. It's definitely better , more elegant and upscale than the Hotel Therese.

I am curious, those that recommend the Faubourg over the Therese, have you stayed at both? Do you have a specific reason for preferring the Faubourg?
