Hotel Eiffel Rive Gauche

I have a reservation here for two nights in October, but can't remember how I found it! Does anyone have any recent experience with this hotel, located at 6 Rue du Gros Caillou?

Thanks!

I found it in a guidebook. Not sure if it was Fodors or Frommers.

However, I recently read a review that mentioned cats roaming the hotel and being in the rooms and the cafe. I have since canceled my reservation.

I wouldn't mind if they weren't allowed to roam, but they are and I'm not comfortable with that. And my travel companion is allergic. It's really something they should be more upfront about due to allergies.

Wow -- that's a little frightening! I'm also looking at Hotel de Varenne and Muguet - any ideas on either of those?

I've heard of hotels offering goldfish, but not cats!

We stayed at the Hotel Eiffel de Londres this summer and really liked it. Good price, quiet location. Just in case you were looking for something in the area...

I ended up booking the Hotel Derby. It had good reviews on tripadvisor.com and was reasonably priced.

It's in the same area as the Hotel Eiffel Rive Gauche. I found it for $150 a night on hotels.com.

I hope this helps!
