Hotel Duquesta de Cardona-Barcelona

I'm wondering about the location of this hotel. It is on Paseo Colon on the waterfront. Is this a nice area?Any feedback on this hotel would be appreciated. I'm also considering the Grand Central Hotel. Thanks.

The name of the hotel is the Duquesa de Cardona. The location is fine, close to Ramblas and some rooms have a view of the port.

The Grand Central is also a very nice hotel, near the cathedral and has a roof-top pool.

The Grand Central is the other hotel I am interested in. The rooftop pool looks pretty nice. The Duquesa also has a small rooftop pool, and the reason I'm leaning towards that one is the location overlooking the port. The Grand Central is less expensive though, and includes a breakfast.

The Grand Central's location is a little busier than that of the Duquesa de Cardona. If it’s a matter of price, then the deal at the Grand Central sounds better.
