Hotel Due Torri - Rome
Does this hotel have an elevator? Any room/floor preferences?
|
Yes it has an elevator, I have heard the top floor has views and have also heard that these rooms are smaller. I have stayed on other floors and prefer a corner room, but it is a nice place to stay. Their staff has been there since I have been visiting, which is at least 6 years. I recognize the man who serves coffee at breakfast, the desk clerks, the manager, which speaks well for the management.

Nancy, thank you. I'm wondering if it's too early to reserve for *next year, May, and the best way to reserve (calling, faxing?). They don't take online reservations.

We've stayed there twice and are returning in September. I make all the arrangements via email through their web site. They will reply promptly. We love the location!!
|
Can someone provide their website address? Thanks.
|
I'm guessing that you've already found their website, but just in case:

http://www.hotelduetorriroma.com/

I stayed at Due Torri once, and just loved it. The price is right, the place is nice and clean, and the location can't be beat. Just don't expect anything in the way of luxury.

Laura -
We stayed on the floor(4th I think) with the views in March. It's pretty much roof tops to look at but charming all the same. I don't remember the room number but ask for the room just to the right of the top of the stairs (or right across from the elevator). All the others on that floor are teeny. If someone tells you there are balconies on that floor - there are- for pigmies.
No room for a chair but the french doors can open to the air which is nice. Due Torri is a good location - walking distance to the largest and most fabulous gelato store in all of Italy. Due Torri is down a little alley so your taxi drivers will deserve a tip just for hazardous duty.
We also booked on line. You'll like it - sweet people. Enjoy! PS. Try the Rice Pudding Gelato wherever you can find it. It's to die for! One of the small gelato stands right off Piazza Narvano has it - also walking distance.

Hi Charlie, did you mean to say Piazza Navona instead of Piazza Narvano? Sorry, I am not trying to criticize; I'm just trying to find out if maybe there really is a Piazza Narvano there. Thanks.
