'Hotel du Palais' in Montpellier?

This place gets very positive reviews on TripAdvisor, but they don't have any web presence that I've been able to detect...unusual in this day and age. Has anyone any experience with them?

As I mentioned in your other thread, I didn't stay here, but thought it was the perfect location--except I wanted easier access to the train station.

It's on a quiet, quaint pedestrian street near a grassy square with sidewalk cafes. (You can see this when you scroll right on their site photos--and there are some in my pbase photos, too.) But it's only a short block from the elegant rue Foch that ends at the Arc de triomphe and a large urban square/park. I actually prefered it's scale and location to Place de la Comedie which is much grander and open with more activity.

The often recommended Hotel le Guilhem is also nearby but more stars and money. http://www.leguilhem.com/?new_langue=fr

Hi JeffreyJ, I studied in Montpellier in college so I can vouch for the location of Hotel du Palais...I recognize the little square in the pictures! As Jeff said, it would be a quieter location than Place de la Comedie but still within easy walking distance of everything. Montpellier is a great town; I hope you have a wonderful visit!

The Hotel du Palais was full for my dates, which aren't terribly flexible. Bummer.

I've booked at my second choice, the Hotel des Arceaux, on the west side of town, right by the Arc de Triomphe.
