Hotel du Musee, Arles "the new section"???

We just booked Hotel du Musee in Arles. We're in the "new section". Is this a nice hotel, has anyone stayed in the newer part? Will we be able to drive to the hotel or is it in a pedestrian area? Thanks for your advice.

Looks quite nice! (And rates are great.)

I stayed at Le Calendal in Arles, but know the area where your hotel is, and believe you can drive there. I'd ask the hotel to provide you with specific directions, if they haven't already done so.

You might try a text search here (though I'm not sure I've seen any), as well as on tripadvisor.com for feedback.

Wow! That does look nice on the website! I'm putting it in my notes for our future trip - would you please comment when you return? Thanks!

Yup! When I'm back I'll share my wealth of knowledge! I went to the year 2000 postings and now I feel better about Musee, thanks for helping me make an informed choice.

We stayed at Hotel du Musee in 2000, and loved it. No "new section" at that time. The owners, Reine and Bernard Dumeuil, are wonderful people and very helpful.

The old part of the hotel was built in the 1600s, but some bits including our bathroom date from the late 1400s!

By the way, a great restaurant recommendation per the hotel was Restaurant L?Escaladou for outstanding bouillabaisse and a really garlicky rouille.
