Hotel de Ville webcam - what's going on?

In looking at the Paris webcams this morning, a building of some kind has been put up in front of the Hotel de Ville, and there is a long line of people waiting to go in. Anyone want to speculate as to what may be going on there today?

A multimedia show about Paris. " A guide across the centuries of Parisian history..."
They are ice skating also in front of the buildings.

The icerink was where the people are queueing up to go into the white marquis. It was fun watching the skaters going round and round. Even saw a hockey match one day!

Temporary structures in front of the Paris City Hall are not unusual. The last time we were there, a job fair was held in the open area between the Hotel de Ville and the Metro entrances. The tents and shacks were erected dismantled within a few days.
