Hotel de l'Odeon, Paris?

Does anyone have any feedback about the Hotel de l'Odeon in Paris?

I'm strongly considering a family room there for my wife, my two children (ages 7 and 13)and myself. It seems very nice.

Thanks!

Jim

There are 2 hotels with this name. Is it the one on rue de l'Odeon?

I'm wondering about the Hotel de l'Odeon at 13, rue Saint-Sulpice in the Latin Quarter.

Thanks for any insight you might have.

Jheinzen, although many Fodorites recommend Hotel de l'Odeon, in fact there are very few that actually stayed there.

I found an old thread, with a post from somoene who really stayed at the L'Odeon. I hope it helps.

Thanks very much for your detective work. I'm a little concerned about the four-people-jammed-into-a-Paris-hotel-room routine, but the location seems to be so perfect that I don't think we'll notice.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hotel de l'Odeon about 2 1/2 years ago. The hotel itself is nice, clean and in a great location. Our room was small - even for Parisian standards - but it was good enough since we did not spend much time there. There is no way you could fit 4 in that room, but I did notice several other rooms in the hotel that appeared to be bigger. You might want to check with them to see which room might be best.

jheinzen-

I notice that you only recently started posting on this board. May I suggest that using the search function may answer your questions more easily and thoroughly. ((R))

Another poster recommended you Hotel Saint Paul.

I've read posts on this board recommending it as well. The price is within your budget, and there's also a promotional rate for Summer season. There is a quadruple room with a mezaninne, if I'm not wrong. Anyway, it's worth checking if they have this room available for your dates.

Regarding location, I like Rue St. Sulpice better than Rue Monsieur Le Prince, but they are about 5, 6 blocks from each other. However, only 8 rooms are air conditioned.
