Hotel de L'Abbaye - Paris ?

Hello, has anyone stayed in this hotel? I am planning a trip to Paris next summer and planning to stay there. It's a little expensive though. Is it worth the money? Does anyone know if standard rooms are nice? Do you recommend it? thanks a lot in advance.

I stayed there last June. The room was tiny but perfectly comfortable. It was on the ground floor and looked out onto a courtyard garden. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'd stay there again.

I've stayed there, too. Cozy and charming, we especially like breakfast on the terrace.

I don't know the hotel, but if it's on rue l'Abbaye, you're in a great area.

Exactly how small are the standard rooms? Would anyone say they are comfortable for 2 (2 beds/twin room)? The hotel says it is comfortable but I'd like a guest's honest opinion.
Thank you.

Hi Tere, It's my favorite hotel, I've been on the second floor usually, overlooking the terrace where breakfast is served. Theres a nice litle bar area and it's a quiet area.

Tere posted this topic originally in 4/03. I am not sure if she is still interested in staying at the hotel.

But I am now seeking comments about the standard room size. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi
there are many positive comments on l'Abbaye at tripadvisor.com, but that one is on rue Cassette.

If you click at the top of this screen at Hotels, and go to Paris, and then Hotel de l'Abbaye (it's listed under H) you will also find many positive comments, some may have the info you want. Again, it's rue Cassette.
