Hotel de Fleurie vs Hotel St Germain-des-Pres

We will be in Paris in late September and these hotels were recommended by some people we don't know very well. Has anyone else visited either of these hotels and can give us some feedback?

Will it be hot/warm at this time of the year or will Fall temperatures be taking over? Thanks.

Not knowing the hotels, I can only add that the weather will be still warm.
At least it was when I was there at that time of year. Some nights I didn't need a sweater.

We stayed at the Fleurie May of 2004. The rooms were compact and efficient. There were large windows which opened in both the shower/bath room and in the bedroom. There was a separate WC on the other side of the room. There were built-in 20" X 20" closets on each side of the double bed. The room also had a desk and chair. Room was clean, good water pressure in shower. The hotel is in a great location on a very small street just off Boulevard St Germain and a block from my favorite patisserie, Gerard Mulot, (closed on Wed.) The staff was very nice. We had to turn in our room key upon leaving and pick it up each time we came back.

I have friends who go back to the Fleurie every year while in Paris on business. I have visted them, and been very impressed with the lovely staff and the beautifully appointed- if typically small- rooms. The hotel is in easy walking distance of many major tourist attractions.

I visited the Hotel de Fleurie and was impressed by the property and staff. I would not hesitate to stay there. One thing I like in particular is that it is only a block south of Bd Saint Germain, but is in a quiet area.

We stayed at a hotel on the same street just north of Bd Saint Germain. (That hotel was not our choice -- we traveled with some friends.) It was above restaurants, so there was loud crowd noise late at night, motor scooters, and cigarette smoke if you opened the windows.

How I wished we stayed at the Hotel de Fleurie.
