Hotel de Crillon

I got a good rate for a few nights at the Crillon - $260 for the week before Christmas - and was wondering if I should take it. Although it seems to be a good price, I figure that I will not be spending so much time in the hotel, and maybe I would be better off with a lower-priced 4 star hotel and having the extra $300 for shopping, food, etc. Any thoughts?

Adam,

Is this the Crillon in Steingaden, or somewhere else? I did a search on Crillon.com and had responses for hotels in 77 different cities.

Wes, you might like this one.

There

$260 a night ? For the Crillon? If that isn't a mistake or the room isn't a closet in the basement, take it, it is a bargain!

I am talking about the Hotel de Crillon in Paris.

Adam, be very sure of the room and the rates...that is too good to be true.

Michelle, thanks for the concern. The rate is 100% legit. I get a special corporate discounts at the hotel

I've been to Le Crillon. It's nice, but I wouldn't want to stay there - kinda boring. NOw, if it were the Plaza Athenee, that's another story!

Adam, I want to go to the Crillon! We have friends who go there all the time, among other wonderful places, and she is treated so nicely, they love the tea, the fire in the lobby-so do we, we go there to visit them sometimes,I think it is a lovely hotel and worth the experience.

What a steal! We used to stay there a lot on business trips, the two restaurants are excellent, the view out the front door is awesome(especially at night)and you are in the midst of everything. Metro Concorde is a half-block away and cabs are always available. Go for it!

Adam, I stayed at the Hotel de Crillon for 3 nights in October this year. The rate you have mentioned is excellent. It is 30% less than I paid. Although you say you may not spend much time in the Hotel, I think you will be very pleased with the de Crillon at this rate particularly. Both of the fine restaurants. Le Ambasseduer's..I forget the name of the other....Oblilesque .I think were excellent. The location on the Plaza de la Concorde was excellent..not far from the Louve..easy access to the subway...adjacent to the US Embassy and 1 block from the Champ Elysess (?) . One day I walked from the hotel to the Eiffel Tower..although doable is a fairly long walk...but to answer your basic question..the rate of $260 is a real deal !!!
