For about the 4th time, I will try to post the url for the hotel in question. It is: http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/h75001britannique.htm Rates are about $175 for a double.

Thanks for trying Bob. My lost message was, I'm looking for some comments based on personal experience at that hotel. I did a search on this site and didn't come up with much. I already have the basics on rates and amenities from other sites and sources. Thanks. elaine

Hotel Britanique is the ultimate classic Parisian hotel. The staff is great and very funny (like the rest of French people). We had a very romantic stay at that hotel in November. The rooms are small but very clean (the bathrooms are great with plenty of hot water). The location is superb - it is 5 minutes to Louvre and there are inexpensive restaurants in the neighborhood. It is only 10 minutes cab ride from the Norde train station. The only downfall of this hotel is the tiniest elevator - so if you have lots of luggage, you will have to go up and down more than once.
