Hotel Arlette Zurich

Has anyone stayed here? I haven't read much about it and found it on a Swiss Tourism site. the price is around $100/night. I will be in Zurich for 2 nights in July. Leaning towards a place with air conditioning. I would prefer a location walking distance to the train station and just need clean and quiet since I will be arriving from US the first day. Thanks!

I live in Zurich. I don't know the hotel, but you certainly could not get much closer to the train station. It is located across the river from the train station. The area of town is not that pretty (compared to the charming parts of the old town), but should be fine, and is not a long walk to the more interesting parts of the old town. If it has air conditioning, for the price that would be good, and would cut down on noise.

Hi Cicerone, the price I got is 110 Swiss Francs for a single. It does have air conditioning and the photos look nice. I'm curious to hear of any experience, I can't find any posts here or on other travel sites.

Hello - just wanted to report on this hotel. I paid 110 CHF (approx. $90) for a single room. A bargain for Zurich. The hotel staff was very helpful. The room was small but fine for one person. The air conditioning was not as good as air conditioners in the US but it did the trick. It was about a 5 minute walk to the train station and less than that to get to the Neiderdorfstrasse. For the price and location, I would definitely stay here again.

Thanks cls2paris... I was wondering about this hotel as well. We stayed further uphill at the Leoneck for 185CHF($140)/double... was looking at the Alexander Guesthouse but worried it might be too noisy...Hotel Arlette might be it for our next visit.

How nice, cls, that you returned with your impressions of the Arlette. Thanks. J.
