Hotel / Apartment Search in Paris

Jump to last reply

Hello, first time poster!

I have enjoyed reading the trip reports and am excited in planning my trip

We went to Paris 1x and stayed near the Arc

This time I would like to stay in an area with more nightlife (bars, lounges not clubs) and even cafes that are a little more cost friendly. We are the type of travelers that like to stick to our neighborhood in the evening so even with good metro we would probably not venture out too far late at night (10 - 20 min walk is perfectly fine)

My friend suggests the St Germain area near St Michel I have found 2 fairly nice apartments

1 Near station Saint Michel Notre-Dame.

2 Le Marais near St Paul station

I know Le Marais is a popular area but I don't know anyone who can tell me about the area at night

Also please bear in mind this is over Christmas break so I don't; know if things close around either area

My other option is a hotel but it would have to be around 120 euros a night to make sense over an apartment.

thanks in advance!
