Hotel and Luggage Problem! (London - Paris - London)

Author: wilmar23

Message: I am going to London but then owing to air ticket arrangement, if I want to go to Paris, I have to leave to Paris later by EuroStar and then back to London to catch the plan home.

If I dont have many luggages, it is ok. Unfortunately I can foresee that I will have at least one BIG shitcase, if not 2!

What could I do to make the trip less hassle? Any places for storage (eg lockers safe?) in London? Or any luggage carriage service at the EuroStar?

Please help........

Also, I have no idea absolutely which hotel to stay in Paris. I am looking at convenient and reasonable price (e.g. about 50-70 Euro per nite for a twin room). Anyone can give me some hints?

MANY MANY THANKS!

I'm sorry that I don't have any advice for you but I must thank you for the laugh. Many times I have found myself travelling with a big shitcase too!

Contact your London hotel and ask if you can store your luggage there while your in Paris (most likely they will say yes I've done this several times). Take a smaller suitcase or duffle bag in your bigger suitcase to take to Paris.

Pack lighter! There is no way one person should need more than one suitcase for a trip that is less than a month.

But your hotel should be willing to hold a bag for you, if necessary.

Wilmar & Babette, thanks for the laugh. My co-workers are now wondering why I have tears streaming down my face.

Wilmar, I hope someone is able to help you out. I cannot, but just have to add to Chris and Kaudry stated. I believe that hotels will hold your luggage, but they will charge extra for holding a shitcase. Well, I would anyway.

Thanks for the laugh. You made my morning, however unintentional!

I am cracking up!! Austin that was a great response, too!!

But seriously, for the Paris hotel, try the Grand Hotel Jeanne d'Arc in the Marais district (4th arrondissement). The website is:
www.hoteljeannedarc.com

However, if your trip is quite soon then I doubt that you'll be able to find a room there. It is VERY popular. Doubles go from 67-78 euros per night. Breakfast is 5.70 euros extra. Great place, friendly, clean, quaint. Enjoy your trip!!

And don't take any "suit" off of anybody!!!
