Hotel Albergo Lucia Rome

Hi,
Has anyone stayed at this hotel in Rome? There is only one review on TripAdvisor & my Spanish is not that great.

Thanks!
Michelle

Here's the Spanish review run through babelfish. Not perfect, but you get the idea . . .

We were in Easter of year 2006 and the hotel if you do not look for something special is well. Next to the Termini station, next to a Pastarito, it is arrived well at all the sites walking and when returning if you are tired to do it walking you can take any transport since all are next to the hotel. The rooms immediately, good bed and the clean baths that are what interests because in the Hotel as soon as you are. The proprietor of the very pleasant hotel and explains everything to you, he gives to maps and information you. And by 50 euros (with shower and washbasin, to water outside) or 60 euros (with complete bath) that are wanted more in a so expensive city of Hotels. In fact we return in October and we will become to lodge in the same hotel because by the same centric price it does not have nothing else. Everything raises or 75 euros for above and to sleep then or to pay 8000 thousand pesetas he is muchísimoooo that with this of euro seems that 50 euros are or one night when she is burrada!

I'm laughing at the Babelfish translation !! Wowwwwwwwww,LOL !!

It actually says :

We stayed there in Easter 2006 and if you are not looking for something special , the hotel is OK. It is next to Termini Station, next to a Pastarito, you can get to all the sites walking and if you are tired you can get any public transport to come back because all stop next to the hotel.
The rooms are simple, good bed and
clean baths that it's what counts because you are hardly at the hotel.

Sorry, it didn't finish ...

The hotel owner is very kind and explains everything to you, giving you maps and info.
For 50 euro (with shower and washbasin, toilet outside) or 60 euro (full bathroom) you can't ask for anything more in such a expensive city for hotels. In fact, we turn back in October and we will be back to the same hotel because there is nothing more central for the same price. Everything goes up to 75 euros or above and paying 8000 pesetas is way too much that it looks now with the euro that 50 euro per night is all right when it is nonsense !

I add for understanding that 8000 pesetas (our old currency) is the equivalent to 50 euro. It's really a good point..here in Spain it was very very easy to find a 3 star hotel for that price before the euro, so one which has no toilet in the room for the same price certainly looks expensive for us.

Barbara is a middle-aged ex-pat American married and living in Italy for years.
She is a regular poster on rec.travel.europe and very reliable.

The DFM she mentions is also a regular poster on r.t.e, he has stayed there and has put his mother up there.

The area is safe, I've stayed on that street (and just around the corner) 8X.

DFM said that the hotel _does_ have an elevator (I asked in another post).
