Hotel Ala Venice (?)
 

Does anyone know whether or not the rooms at the Ala have private bathrooms. I've e-mailed them, but haven't heard yet, and I've searched rather extensively without success (including their home page). What prompted my concern was seeing that the Flora Hotel has some rooms without private facilities.<BR><BR>My sincere thanks,<BR><BR>Alison

Moreover some rooms are provided with Jacuzzi.&quot; All rooms will have private facilities. http://www.hotelala.it/home.htm<BR><BR>As a rule, if hotel descriptions make no mention of bathrooms, you can assume that all rooms have them en suite. Although it never hurts to double-check.

Alison -<BR><BR>Lesli also mentioned that this is a 3-star, Best Western hotel, and that all rooms will have private facilities. <BR><BR>I can assure you that this U.S.-based chain would not affiliate itself with a hotel that does not provide them. And she is correct that if bathroom arrangements are not discussed in the description of the accommodations, they are private.

I have stayed twice at Ala in Venice and can confirm they have private bathrooms. I stayed in highest rated room catagory and it was large, nicely decorated, corner room with a view over the little canal and a footbridge. The gondolas travel right under the windows during the day and early evening. They have very good breakfasts with wonderful thick hot chocolate. They also have a private dock if you want to hire a gondola to pick you up or drop you off at the hotel, but is near a regular vaparetto stop too.

We stayed at the Hotel Ala, not in the most expensive rooms, and we did have an ensuite bathroom. We also had a room w/doors that opened onto the small canal below. Everyday during our late afternoon nap, we listened to the Gondoliers singing O solo Mio, as they passed by. So lovely. It's a nice hotel.<BR>Helaine

I just looked at their web site and it seems like they have annexed the building that was between the hotel and the Gran Canal. Has anyone been to the Ala this past year and is this so?
