Hotel Ala or Casa Rezzonico? 2 days in Venice

Hi, we are a family of 4,( 2 kids ages 9 n 11), we are trying to decide between these two hotels.
Since we only have 2 days in Venice which one would be better.?..close main touristy attractions.
I hear if your hotel is far from the vaporetto's stop it can be a problem.
Does anyone know if there's a vaporetto stop close by these hotels?

thank you for any suggestions or advice

There is a vaporetto stop very near Hotel Ala, at the end of a skinny walkway that leads from hotel's entrance down to the Grand Canal.

I've never stayed at Casa Rezzonico so hopefully someone else will chime in on that.

My impression of the Hotel Ala, after 3 stays, is that it gets kind of an old crowd. This shouldn't really be a problem, though. It's very well located and has a large breakfast buffet.

Hi,

I stayed many years ago at the Ala, and have fond memories of carting my suitcases from the vaporetto , through the walkway to the hotel. Its very well located and I know that it has been refurbished since I stayed there. Dont know the Ca Rezzonico.

tuscanlifeedit, cruiseluv and bobthenavigator : Thank you so much! It made my decision easier, Ala.
I only heard one bad thing about it. Somebody got a bad room without a window, which sounds really weird..I would never stay in a room without a window! I will make my reservations directly with hotel and request a room with window...just in case.
