Anyone ever stay at Hotel Ala in the San Marco district of Venice? What were your experiences?

good location<BR>hotel is nothing special

We stayed there 4 mos. ago. Nothing special, but it's more than adequate.

I have stayed at the Ala twice and thought it was really nice. We had a large corner room and could listen to the gondoliers on the small canal beneath our windows. I thought they have a good breakfast and the location is convenient. I would stay there again.
