Hotel Agora St Germain

I am headed to Paris for 8 days and am scheduled to stay at the Hotel Agora St Germain in the 5th arondissment. Does anyone have experience staying there? Any advice?

I just passed by the hotel as it is about a couple of blocks away from its sister hotel, Abbatial St. Germain, where I stayed.

I did not go inside the Agora St. Germain but it looks good from the outside. However, I did view the pictures on its website. I find that the Abbatial St. Germain's rooms look nicer. In fact, the room they show on the Abbatial St. Germain website is the room I had-a triple room-on the 5th floor. Had great views of the Pantheon, Notre Dame's spires, and Blvd. St. Germain. It had two windows in the bedroom and one in the bathroom. Ask for a triple room for views and space. Good hotel.

I stayed here last month, after trying a few different ones - and getting passed on to friends/affiliate hotels etc. great location, perfectly adequate, clean, not spacious but just fine, staff was friendly. great price - I paid 100E a night. for that location it is fabulous. short walk to Notre Dame.

when I say adequate I am not trying to damn with faint praise - it is nice, just don't go expecting a shwanky hotel.

Thank you, flygirl. We leave tomorrow. And now I know what to expect. Thanks again for your post.

We did indeed stay at Hotel St Germain and found Flygirl's comments to be right on target. The common areas are lovely. The rooms--small. I didn't find a room with a bed larger than a double. That was fine for us though a little cramped as my partner is 6ft8. I can't say enough how friendly the staff is, though. They were helpful, friendly, and accommodating. I'd stay there again.
