Hot Springs in Languedoc Roussillon or Provence?

Has anyone been to Hot Springs in the Languedoc area? How about Renne de Bain?
We are hot spring lovers and would appreciate any recommendations there and also in Provence-- anywhere-- we will go.......
Thanks,
Marie V

StCirq;
Since you know and love the area...
I was thinking not to stay in the hot spring towns but to have a base and take day trips to them. Where would you suggest as a base for Rennes les Bains?
Narbonne? Perpignan? Beziers? Montpellier?
I'd appreciate anyone else's opinion on this, too. We've never been to that part of France.

Well, Montpellier is a wonderful, lively town because of the university there (the oldest in France), but all of the others are fine too. Depends on how big a town you're after, to some extent. I have found that driving into and out of Montpellier can be a challenge when there's lots of traffic, so that's a consideration. But its also a good town for bargains in accommodations and food, again because of the large student population.

Hi C;
Train in quotes? Can you explain?

Thanks StCirq; My traveling companion likes a real town not a village, so much. A medium size town would be perfect. With that in mind would it still be Montpellier?
