Hot Mom's Paris
 

My mother and I will be in Paris from 16th-20th of Oct. It will be her 1st time and my 2nd. Mom is a sophisticated party girl (she cut her partying teeth in 1950's Havana. Though she enjoys museums, she likes restaurants and clubs that are "In" fun, and good for people watching. Any recommendations?

You should check out the Buddha bar (8 Rue Boissy d'Anglas, near Place de la Concorde). It's been one of the hottest restaurants/nightclubs in Paris for a while.

The 'quartier branchè' (trendy neighborhood) is the Bastille-Oberkampf-Republique area, though barhopping through the Marais/Les Halles area or Saint Germain area is just as fun.
