Hot air balloon rides in Cappadocia
 

I have been checking out numerous companies. I would like safe, reliable and a good experience. I seem to see that everyone claims to be the best or safest! I also see the balloon land on a trailer. Is that the same for all companies? It looks like that could be a more controlled environment as there are multiple people pulling on the ropes to anchor it. I would be interested in any and all experiences. Thank you!

We did a balloon tour in Capadoccia almost 10 years back, I believe it was Butterfly, though I really don’t remember. Recommended by our cave hotel Kelebek, we were quite a large group of us. I’d say most of the operators are reliable, you could also Google for reviews. We just went with the hotel’s choice and figured it would be kosher.

I think all the balloons land on a flatbed truck, that’s how they transport the balloons back to the hangar. It was the same in Luxor, Egypt too many years back.
