Hot Air Balloon Ride in Cappadocia Turkey
Does anyone have any information on this? Whether we need res. before we leave and can cancel if weather is bad? Cost? Safety? Thanks.
|
I booked my balloon ride the night before but it wouldn't hurt to book in advance. If the weather is bad the balloon company will refuse to fly. I paid $200 US and it was worth every penny and then some. I never felt unsafe, however I'm sorry to report there was an accident in May 2009. However accidents in Cappadocia are rare and this would certainly not deter me from ballooning again. It was the highlight of my trip and I highly recommend it.

PS If you click my name you will find my trip report and links to my pics. Quite a few of my pics are from the balloon ride.

Thanks for the info-and P_M especially kind of you to offer help and advice as you are going through so much yourself. I know it helps to remember good times, though. I hope your health continues to improve.

Depending on the period you are visiting, not to be dissappointed better to book earlier. There are some periods we can not get 1 place last minute, ofcourse for spesific companies.....there are 11 of them now....
Happy flying, Murat |
