Hot air Balloon

Hello every one,
I was wondering where can a person go ballooning in Europe, beside France. I was watching this program on travel channel about France. You could go ballooning. Any way, it inspired me. I like to find out if there are other places where you can learn and do this, especially in Italy and Switzerland.
Can a person travel between countries in Europe in balloon? is that allowed? has any ever done it?
I like to do that some time, first I have to buy my own balloon and learn to operate it!

I don't know whether this will add to the discussion, but if you want a simple balloon ride, I saw a lot of this in the skies over Stockholm two weeks ago. I don't know if it was some sort of balloon festival or whether hot air ballooning is a big deal there.

To others reading this, and interested in ballooning in France, a reminder: search "montgolfieres" here on this forum for several relevant threads.
