Hostels in Dublin

My college-age daughter and her friend will be visiting Dublin the week of March 13 and want to stay inexpensively. Are there any hostels or inexpensive hotels in safe areas they could look into?

They can look at hostelworld.com which shows hostels for many countries/cities. There are reviews/ratings for each location so they will be able to determine the best location and safety. Another forum is thorntree which caters to a young crowd.

I'd recommend the Guinness Brewery Hostel. It's in a safe part of town and is clean and not too expensive. The location is also pretty good for seeing the city.

You can't beat this for location -- both for access to places that college-age people might want to visit and for safety. I don't use hostels myself (especially in my home city) but I understand that it is highly-regarded. http://www.kinlaydublin.ie/

I haven't stayed in Kinlay House, but have been inside of it and it looked like a great place. I will be staying there this summer for a few nights. It is very central in terms of location to many of the sites. Relatively good prices too.
