Hostaria dell'Orso Restaurant in Rome
 

Wondering if anybody has dined at this restaurant in Rome. It's a recommendation and we have reservations but before our October trip, I'd love some feedback.

Are you referring to L'Orso 80 which is located near the Piazza Navona? If so, it is quite a popular restaurant quite well known for its antipasto which can include several plates. Have eaten there once and found it quite enjoyable.

Thanks for the input on L'Orso 80, however, and we'll keep that one in mind, too.

I ate at L'Orso 80 in October last year and was severely disappointed in the food and the service.

Yes, I know, many people have recommended in the past (why do you think it was on my list?)! All I can say is that we either have very different tastes or the quality has gone down dramatically!

Interesting that the above poster was so diappoinsted, because we had a fabulous dinner at L'Orso 80 in July. We really enjoyed the antipasto dishes for which the restaurant is famous, as well as the handmade pastas. The restasurant was very unpretentious and full of locals when we were there, which I always take as a good sign. Anyway, if you get a chance, I highly recommend it!

My husband and I ate at Hostaria dell'Orso in Rome on our last night of our honeymoon just a few weeks ago. It was a romantic restaurant, but you do pay for it. The restaurant felt exclusive. I think it may have been one of our most expensive meals, we paid approx. 270 Euros I think for two of us, including wine. The food was great, but I felt we paid more the atmosphere on that night. We walked around Piazza Navona afterwards and took some pictures near the river.
