Hostal Sierpes in Seville
Looking for lodging in the Santa Cruz area. Has anyone stayed at Hostal Sierpes? I've already tried doing a search and there aren't a lot of comments on this one.

I'd also appreciate any other recommendations. I'm really looking for something in the 20 euro range for a single although I know Hostal Sierpes is more like 40 euros.

Not in the Santa Cruz area, but still conveniently located is Hostal Atenas. Nice, quiet place with clean en-suite rooms. Have a look at their web site.

Vita -

If you haven't already, you might try searches for feedback on this hostal on the message boards at madridman.com and/or multimadrid.com (which are not just for Madrid.)

You may also find info there re other hostals that would work for you.

This website is a great resource for budget accomodation in Spain, with links to most hostals own websites: http://www.spainhostels.com/

Try the Lonely Planet message board. It is much more budget focused.

I just recently stayed at the Hotel Simon in Sevilla. The rooms are nothing special but certainly more than adequate. But the location is great, right across from the Cathedral. Although, like Sierpes, it's around 40 euros.
You may want to try "La Casa del Buen Viaje". It is new. A renovated house near Casa de Pilatos. In the heart of everything in Seville.

The owner, Margarita Rista, sounds wonderful. We had emailed a few times and spoke to her this morning. She couldn't have been nicer! You may contact her at 011 34 954 213390 or by email: [email protected]

I will be staying there during Easter Week. I will be happy to share with my experience once I return.

Regards,

Elvira
