Horseback riding opportunities in France
I am especially interested in riding horses in the forest around Chantilly or Versailles. Does anyone know of stables that rent horses?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dan,
If you mean just for a few hours, I can't help. But, if you are a serious rider and want a wonderful vacation, check out www.equitours.com. I've done 2 trips with them, both in the US, and they've been some of my most wonderful vacations. They have riding all over the world!

I am doing an equestrian vacation through Cross Country International in Normandy the second week of June. I was interested in a few hours of riding in Chantilly or other places. We just never can quite get our horse fix, can we??? LOL
Thanks for the recommendation - Danskhoss

Difficult in Chantilly, where the focus is on training race horses. You can visit the "Living Museum of the Horse" at the Chantilly Chateau; you may be able to arrange a visit with a trainer, though most Web references are to group visits; there is a local riding club, telephone: 03 44 58 04 75; and you could enquire of the tourism offices in Chantilly and nearby Lamorlaye.
