Horseback riding in Tuscany or Chianti?

Has anyone done this without going on a full blown all day tour that includes this?

hi,

I just googled "horse riding in tuscany" and came up with a number of companies who offer everything from 7 days in the saddle to 2 hour rides. www.toursintuscany.com [think I've got that right] looked good.

good luck!

annhig, I had just been looking at that very site but couldn't find anything offered for just the horseback riding? Did you?

hi, ljc4,

if you click on excursions, you'll see a link to day riding trips from florence, picking up at 9.30am including riding, lunch, etc. etc.

it might be difficult to arrange less than this, bearing in mind you have to get from florence to their base. if you were staying in chianti, they might arrange something special for you, if you e-mail them.

or you could ask the local tourist office.
