Horse Back Riding Near Paris?
I am an avid equestrian. Does anyone know of a place you can rent horses/ride near Paris? I would need someplace reasonably reachable by Subway, etc. as we are staying in the Latin Quarter and not renting a car. Thank you!

No. Would you be satisfies with a beautiful horse barn from the 1800s and a horse museum. The town of Chantilly is a good day trip from Paris.

Hi All,
First, thanks for the responses so far. Jody - on that list you posted, are those all private stables or stables that will allow you to rent a horse/equipment. I wasn't planning on packing my helmet, etc. and my husband is a non-rider. So would we both be ok? Thanks SO much! |
I would say that a trip to Chantilly and the Living Horse Museum is indispensable, even if you don't ride there.

If you are a very serious and very knowledgeable horse person you should not miss the opportunity to go the Chantilly Horse Museum. It is excellent.

Oh and thank you amwosu. I had completely forgotten the museum was there. That will be a must-see for me! I'm already excited to go!
