Hop On-Hop Off Bus/Madrid
Dumb question...if I buy a 2 day ticket for the Hop On-Hop Off bus is it valid for two days in a row or a total of two days? Thanks!

the website says "consecutive".

Thanks!

I honestly don't think you need the 2 day pass. There are 2 routes-the modern one is not that interesting!I always recommend to my friends to take the bus at night-Madrid looks beautiful with all the buildings lit up!

I agree with chapla about not needing a two day pass on the Madrid Hop-On Hop-Off buss. The main sights in Madrid are packed fairly close together (unlike Barcelona for example), and can bee "seen" in one day easily.
One case where a multiple day pass is desirable is if you want to actually "experience" the various destinations and use the bus as more of a transportation system. It can become fairly affordable compared to taxi's, and you know for a fact that it will take you to the tourist highlights of the city for your perusing. www.slynomad.com |
We planned to use it as transportation between sights. Makes life easy! Thanks, again!

Hola
I used the bus service and found it excellent. I agree with others. I don't think you'll need it for 2 days. Its main advantage is for a reconnaissance role. You'll get the gist of the layout and attractions and then for the remainder of your time in Madrid you can walk or take public transport. |
Personally I think it is waste of money. The subway system and walking is just fine.
And as noted many of the major sights are clustered together. |
I walked everywhere in Madrid, that too with a still healing twisted ankle! Madrid is very walkable..
