Honfleur- La Diligence? Le Chat? Le Cheval Blanc? L'Ecrin?

I saw the comments on Le Chat and L'Ecrin... soliciting experiences/comparisons of all four hotels... we're looking to spend a night or two in early December... not prime beach time, but is Honfleur still interesting?

Honfleur is a city of impressionist painters and I think beautiful at any time of year. We stayed at Le Ferme San Simeon just outside of the town. It was late September and rainy but we loved it all the more. Somehow the inclement weather made the food taste all that much better.

Yes Honfleur is wonderful. Go any chance you have.

Anyone?

I was one of the people who posted earlier notes about hotels in Honfleur. We will be staying at Le Chat but our first choice, based on comparisons, was L'Ecrin. It was fully booked for the time we are going in September. That is where I would stay if I had the choice.
