Honeymooners need your help

My fiancee Alexandra and I will be honeymooning on The Italian and French Riviera for three weeks. We just want to have a fun, mello, outdoorsy, romantic time. I've got a few questions:

1. Should we rent a car? We definitely want to move around a lot, but will trains and busses do it better?

2. Should we stay in a hotel or rent a little appartmento/villa?

3. Any other advice from veteran honeymooners?

Warmest thanks.

- Eric

I would rent a car. The trains/busses are great but a car gives you a little more leeway to get off of the beaton path. Should you stay in a hotel? Good question, my own preference would be a villa, but one where I could get the equivalent of room service or at least meals delivered. What are your tasts? That should determine it.
Have a great one
Art
Thanks a lot, Art! I appreciate the time you took to respond.

We'll take your advice and rent a car. And your point "what are your tastes?" was a good one -- we should really take time to reflect on what we love and plan from there.

Thanks again!

- Eric
