Honeymooners need Amalfi Coast HELP

Leaving for Rome, Amalfi Coast, and Venice in 1 week. We have 3 nights in Rome, 3 in Sorrento, and 4 in Venice.

Can you guys help me figure out the best things to do along the Amalfi Coast, given our 3 nights stay?

Looking for MUST do's, such as Capri. Also interested in specific things we MUST do.

Hi,

I suggest that you do a text search on "Amalfi Coast", on "Capri", on "Sorrento" and "Path of the Gods".

Have a great time.

I wish I had stayed overnight in Capri.

I'd recommend two daytrips: one to Pompeii by train from Sorrento ( it's about 30 min.) and one to Positano by boat from the port in Sorrento.

I'd also recommend staying one night in Capri, if possible. It's a completely different place after the throngs of day tourists leave. Much more enjoyable.

Good luck, and have a wonderful time!

We just got back from our Italian HM one week ago. I would definitely take one of the day trips from Positano to Capri. It was sooo worth it. The day tour we took included 3 hours of 'free' time to wander through Capri, a swim in the Green, Grotto, and a 4 course meal!!

Just remember to bring your credit cards to Capri - There is a lot of shopping to be done. The sad part is that I thought my husband had the credit cards and he thought I had them. We had a combined total of 30 Euros. We were pretty bored wandering around Capri for the three hours of our 'free' time with no money to tour the island and no line of credit with which to shop.

But think of all the money you saved, Beth.

You'll find a plethora of threads discussing topic of what to do/see along Amalfi Coast. And despite my opinion that Blue Grotto is an over-hyped tourist attraction, others have very positive memories; it certainly does seem a honeymooners thing to do.

I thought the Blue Grotto a highlight of our visit to the Amalfi coast and vicinity.

The grotto itself is worth visiting, but I enjoyed even more observing and participating in the entire process of getting folks to the grotto then transferring to the rowboats, lieing down to get thru the entrance, getting out again, and then getting back onto the larger boats--quite humorous at times as well.

You get to know some of your fellow rowboat passangers better than you might have thought, and I think some romances may have been sparked off during the liedown stage!

An interesting and fun shared experience. A couple of folks who'd obviously been nipping at the Limoncello got a dip in the sea free of charge.

Weadles-Do you happen to know if the boat to Positano operates in November?
