Can anyone recommend villa's in Santorini or Mykonos for a honeymoon trip? We are looking to stay 5 nights in each place and probably do a hotel in one and a villa in the other.

In Santorini we would like a private pool and breathtaking views, In Mykonos we would like to be close to the beach.

Renting a villa on Mykonos and Santorini is very expensive, what would be your budget ?

Last summer Mykonos was the most expensive island of the Mediterranean regarding the prices of accommodation.

On Santorini even a room with caldera view is relatively expensive.....

If you plan to rent a car and prefer something more private take a look at the Mykonos Thea Hotel. It's very affordable and in a quiet part of the island with a lovely semi-private beach and a very nice pool. http://www.mykonosthea.com

we would like to stay close to a beach in Mykonos and somewhere with a private pool in Santorini. Our Budget for the trip is 10K. We will be going in the beginning of June 2014.

I thought staying in a hotel on one island and renting a villa on the other might be cheaper but from what you're saying this isnt true?

there are villas and small hotels in Oia (Santorini) that you will like and in your range. Do a search, and you should find something. Looks like they are already filling up so don't waste time. Plan to fly to Athens and then take a connecting flight to either island. You can book a ferry in between. In Mykonos you may like the Vencia hotel. it is not at the beach but has a great pool and view above the town. A good value as well. You can rent a car as needed in Mykonos across the street from the hotel and drive to any one of the many beaches.....back in Oia, rent a car at the port (not in Fira), get off the boat and then up the hill! (get an automatic if you are not comfortable with standard).... the drive to Oia is about 45 minutes..... use the car to visit vineyards, the monestary, the brewery etc.

Is that $10K just for your accomodations for 10 days? If not, deduct whatever else is to be included and come up with the actual amount you have to spend on hotels and villas. I can help you with Santorini but not without knowing your 'real' hotel/villa budget.

Trista and Triton are two amazing Villas in Santorini (both private outdoor pool) but I really don't know if those are available for the dates you want.
